Description 

UPG has an opening at its Houston, Texas facility for a Process Technician for 2nd and 3rd shift. The ideal candidate will be responsible for mold setups, startups, shutdowns, and process troubleshooting in theproduction of highly cosmetic and tight tolerance products.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • 2+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must also be experienced with closed loop controls, SPC and basic computer skills
  • Experience working in Plastic Injection Molding environment

Issue TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) to workers who require unescorted access to secure areas of ports, vessels, outer continental shelf facilities and all credentialed merchant mariners; obtain biographic and biometric information (fingerprints); take digital photographs required by TSA; communicate with the public, giving directions and responding to inquiries in a professional and courteous manner; maintain focus and awareness within an environment containing numerous distractions, people, and noise; work within a stressful environment, which includes noise from alarms, machinery, people, distractions, and time sensitive requirements; positively identify authorized individuals who require unescorted access to secure areas of the nation’s maritime transportation system.
