CHURCHWIDE

LORD'S SUPPER AND CHURCH CONFERENCE

On Sunday, January 11, Houston's First will observe the Lord's Supper in all three worship services.  Anyone who has received Christ as his or her Savior is invited to take the elements as we remember the sacrifice Christ made on our behalf.  Also on Sunday, members will gather for a church conference at 4:45 pm in the Chapel.  Everyone is invited to attend this monthly meeting.

GIVING LIFE AWAY EXPO

Sometimes, the most difficult aspect of giving our lives is simply knowing where to take the first step.  That's why the Missions Office sponsors the Giving Life Away Expo:  to connect you with opportunities to use your gifts, your passions, and your calling -- whatever they may be!  Stop by on Sunday, January 18, to see where God may be leading you to give life away!

SONG OF SOLOMON BIBLE CONFERENCE

GATHERING OUR HEARTS
Weekend worship, special events and MidLink are the primary ways the church family gathers our hearts. Coming together like this reveals the beauty and diversity of God's children. No two people are exactly the same! And when we gather our hearts to praise Him or simply have a good time, there is room for everybody!



GROWING OUR SOULS

Each person should have a regular place of spiritual growth. Sunday BIble Studies and Milestones are HFBC's primary methods for growing our souls. You can go deeper into God's Word, relate in a way that builds community, and experience the Bible as relevant to your life. Look for retreats, workshops, and other small group opportunities throughout the year!

GIVING OUR LIVES
A soul growing closer to God simply cannot contain itself. Eventually, it will need to find a release--something to do with the abundant love, gifts and blessings it's received from God. At HFBC, the primary methods for giving our lives are through missions, volunteering and finances.
